Jean has so many ideas for The Red Nose Gang characters that it is sometimes difficult to decide 
which will be next. But with golf being such a popular sport, Binky Bunker just had to make an appearance as a member of the Gang. Like the other Gang members Binky measures 48cm (19in)
in height.
Binky certainly comes from an age when plus-fours and pullovers were the smart golfing gear to be seen in and what a rainbow of colours he brings to the green.
Looking at his check plus-fours you may think that they are worked in intarsia or Fair Isle. But there are no such complications. The horizontal stripes are knitted first then the vertical lines are worked in Swiss darning. There are full instructions and how-to photographs for the Swiss darning.
You will love all the amusing touches - imagine knitting shoe spikes and golf tees. And because Binky sometimes gets 
lost in the rough, he really needs his wrist compass. Of course it goes without saying that his umbrella and golf balls all have red noses!
Knit Binky for anyone who plays or follows the sport and you will have a friend forever.
